Dear Colleague

Did you know that chronic pain affects nearly 150 million people in Europe? To address this challenge, the European Pain Federation EFIC established the European Day on Pain Awareness in 2024. From now on, it is observed every year on the third Wednesday of October.

This year, on 15 October 2025, the theme is:

Preventive Healthcare for Chronic Pain

This theme reflects the importance of prevention in reducing the burden of chronic pain and aligns with EU health policy priorities.

As part of the campaign, we have prepared resources to help you raise awareness in your community and networks:
✅ Key messages and campaign summary
✅ Infographics ready for use on social media
✅ Educational videos and materials
