Pediatric anesthesia, pain management and critical care continue to present challenges to anesthesiologists, critical care physicians, nurse anesthetists and the perioperative team. Improved survival of children with congenital anomalies has resulted in an ever increasing population of pediatric patients with complex surgical and medical needs.
The 15 April deadline to submit a poster abstract for ISPP 2023 is only a month away. Submit a poster abstract to present your research to pediatric pain professionals and connect with key stakeholders in the field. Authors may also ask for their submission to be considered for a rapid communication paper. Student poster submissions that are original and/or significant will be judged by the Scientific Program Committee for an award.
Register for the 30 March webinar, Pain: Neural Pathways, Biomarkers, and Interventions, produced through a collaboration of IASP's Pain and Placebo Special Interest Group, the University of Maryland School of Nursing's Placebo Beyond Opinions Center, and the University of Maryland's Center to Advance Chronic Pain Research. This webinar will explore how similar pain, desire, and emotion are in their biological mechanisms and if a change in thinking can alter sensory perception and/or disease-relevant physiology.
