The European Pain Federation is organising a virtual Examination for Part 1 of the European Diploma in Pain Medicine (EDPM) again in 2023. The virtual examinations will be held using the EFIC Academy Education Platform. All registered participants will be provided access to the platform for the period of the examination. EFIC will provide guidance to first-time users of the platform.
The next virtual sitting of Part 1 will take place on Friday, 17 November 2023. Registration is now open!
Registration deadline: 17 October 2023

What are the European Pain Federation EFIC® Pain Schools?
The Pain Schools are courses aimed at young (preferably under 45 years) European medical doctors and allied health professionals who are interested in further developing their knowledge and expertise in the field of pain management. The courses run for 4-5 days and include an evidence-based approach to the assessment, diagnosis and comprehensive management of patients with chronic pain. To be eligible to apply for a grant to attend a Pain School you need to be an European Pain Federation EFIC® Chapter Member.
EPS 2023 • Neuro-immune Interactions in Nociception, Pain and Itch
The European Pain School (EPS), founded at the University of Siena (Italy) in 2002, is the first and still the premier school intended for students working on basic science and clinical topics related to acute and chronic pain. EPS has an interdisciplinary perspective and a distinct research orientation. Young scientists at the Ph.D. or postdoctoral levels (or equivalent) in all fields of pain science and pain medicine are encouraged to apply.

W 27 krajach Unii Europejskiej 100 milionów ludzi dotkniętych jest przewlekłym bólem, a 28 cierpi na silny ból. Wielu z nich w ogóle nie jest leczonych albo nie są leczeni wystarczająco. Koszty społeczne przewlekłego bólu są ogromne. Według badań 19% pacjentów z umiarkowanym lub silnym bólem straciło pracę, 60% lekarzy konsultowało ich w ciągu ostatnich sześciu miesięcy od 2 do 9 razy.
